The International Congress on Natural Products Research will be held July 28 – August 1, 2012 in Grand Hyatt New York, located in the vibrant center of Manhattan in New York City. This Event is the joint meeting hosted by the American Society of Pharmacognosy (ASP) and other societies from Europe: the Society for Medicinal Plant Research (GA), the Italian Society of Phytochemistry (SIF), the Phytochemical Society of Europe (PSE) and the French Speaking Society of Pharmacognosy (AFERP).
This international conference will present a program that dedicates the morning sessions for plenary presentations and afternoons that will be divided into parallel oral and/or poster sessions. Evening events will include a unique personalized tour at the New York Botanical Garden and a panel of opinion leaders that will discuss the “Future of Pharmacognosy.”
Themed contributed sessions are planned on traditional areas of interests that include natural products discovery from marine, microbial, and plant origins, and metabolism, biosynthesis, analytical technologies, and genomics. A Young Investigators Program will feature accomplishments of younger scientists that will be structured as an interactive forum. Of special interest, a public outreach program will be given under the auspices of the New York Botanical Garden entitled “From the Forest to the Pharmacy.”
